Business Deception

As a bag retailer, what I abstain from the most is deception. With more than 10 years of experience in the retail industry, I am very much knowledgeable in the people involved in wholesale business and the ways they deal with us, the retailers.
I purchase an average of 5,500 wholesale bags of various kinds each year. I would purchase even more if the business is running well throughout that year. I often deal with those wholesale businessmen. Some of them are great-hearted and honest and some not. In my personal opinion, the majority of them are good people with whom I even make some regular friends. But there is exception either. I would still remember it clearly even though it has been almost 2 years since then.
As the most popular bag, multi functional bag, with its practical purposes and novel design, has got a wide attention among people of all ages. Therefore, I was having a thriving business at the time by selling multi functional bags alone. Before I could purchase the next batch of new bags, the old ones has already been sold out. Such embarrassing situation often happened. As the old bags were coming to an end, I immediately went to my old business partner for new bags. He has been doing business for wholesale bags with me for more than 5 years during which I have always believed in him as one of my close friends. When I was going to move the bags into my car, he told me the whole prices have been increased again by 5 dollars each one. First, I was so astonished that I could not believe what I had heard. As he told me, the multi functional bags were selling very well, with only a small number of them left. Further, he himself was waiting for the next batch of goods from the manufacturer. According to my experience with him and in the industry, I really did not believe what he said. Even though he stopped me from going to the warehouse, I still tried hard to go there and take a look. With a first look, you really could not find anything like multi functional bag. There were a lot of rugged and old boxes piled in a chaos. Without finding anything, I would not give it up. That was exactly what I thought. Eventually, I found a multi functional bag exposing through a small hole of a rugged box as I moved through the boxes in piles. It turned out that my old partner hid these bags in those old boxes at the dark side of the warehouse. By doing so, he could earn much more money by a false report of his goods when the multi functional bags are at the climax of sales. As a friend of mine and a partner for years, I was really frustrated with sadness and misery, wondering why he would do this to me.
As a popular saying goes, what goes around comes around. Since then, my old partner was expelled from the whole wholesale bags industry since his deception was reported among the insiders.
