The Precious Present on Father’s Day

Though Father’s Day is a foreign holiday, nowadays it is more and more popular in China. Actually, we really should welcome this holiday because it has really told us a lot and remind us to pay special thanks to our fathers on a special day. As far as I am concerned, I am a very shy person. Sometimes I do not know how to express my feelings and thanks to my father. Then by this holiday, I can express my deep thanks and gratitude to my father. Till now, I have spent many Father’s Day with my fathers no matter I am busy or not. It is also this holiday that tells me that people need to care about their family and put hem in heart. In the following article, I would like to share the story between my father and I on Father’s day.
The situation of our family is more complicate than other families. My father and mother marry each other on the arrangement of their parents. Then from my point of view, in the years they live together, they only treated each other as friends rather than the beloved. What is more, because the difference in education background and living customs. They also have differences in the methods to my education and studying. When I was ten, the technical games were very popular. Same as other boys, I was also attracted by the thrilling feeling. My mother spoiled me and bought me the game machine without agree of my father. Then day by day I was more and more addicted to the games and even do not want to go to school. When my father scolded my mother about her education methods, she argued that children should do as what they want and reading books was useless. Then to educate my study and change my attitude towards life, my father resigned from the college and took care with my study. At first, I was very frustrated and even hated my father. I flee from home and stay in the PC room every day. One day, my father finally found me in the PC room and had lunch with me. He said “Son, you know what, every one only has one life. What you do right now will make you feel regret one day. You know what day is today? Today is Father’s Day, papa has never asked any presents from you. Could you understand papa and give me a present today?” Seeing father’s sincere eyes and the white hair I do not know when have appeared, I was moved and nodded my head. Then Dad said “Son, could you return to school? It is the present papa wants the most.” The story ends here and I returned to school. Now I am reading in a good university in Beijing and I also do some part time job when I have time. Almost five years have pasted since my father’s lecturing and every Father’s Day I will send my father a present, including a bag, a laptop and a comb.
Then here I strongly recommend everybody par more care to your father. And no matter how busy you are, do send your father a present and give us a phone call or express your gratitude just in front of your father.
